Christopher Steenrod appointed Deputy District Attorney
RACINE COUNTY — Christopher Steenrod was appointed as Deputy District attorney for the Racine County District attorney’s Office on Tuesday.
Steenrod started as an assistant district attorney with the RCDA in November 2013. He managed traffic and misdemeanor crimes until 2016, when he made the transition to felony crimes.
Steenrod attended Carthage College in Kenosha for his undergraduate studies, and Western Michigan Cooley Law School.
“The Racine County District attorney’s Office has full confidence that Christopher Steenrod’s extensive experience, legal prowess, and community engagement make him the ideal candidate for the role of Deputy District attorney,” District attorney Patricia Hanson said in a statement.
Steenrod also serves as a board member for Racine Neighborhood Watch Inc. and Support Our Law Enforcement, according to a release from Racine County.

As deputy district attorney, Steenrod said he will still carry a full case load, but also will have a supervisor role and provide guidance for assistant district attorneys.
Steenrod said he was thrilled when he learned he was selected for the position.
“It was a vote of confidence in my leadership,” Steenrod said.
