Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the use of deadly force by officers with the state attorney general’s task force, after police say agents shot and killed Dontae Warner, 30, behind Huntingdon Inn Motel in North Huntingdon Township Tuesday.”I heard gunfire, 12 shots — boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,” said Brian Price, who has been staying at the motel. “I looked out my window. The officer told me to stay in my room, stay put, stay in the house, so I did. I was scared.”The Westmoreland County District attorney‘s office confirms that Warner was killed in his vehicle, but no other details have been released.On Saturday, three days before the encounter with Warner, court papers show that the attorney general’s drug task force arrested Michelle Sensenich at the same motel. According to the criminal complaint, an undercover agent scheduled a drug buy in the back of the motel, where Warner was killed three days later. Court documents show that when Sensenich arrived with the heroin and the undercover officer made the buy, the task force’s take-down team arrested Sensenich.Police said on Tuesday the drug task force was working undercover as well, but they have not released any information about Warner’s role. Court records show Warner has a criminal record that includes drug and resisting arrest charges and that Warner was on probation at the time of his death.Warner’s sister, Chardai Warner, tells Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that her family knows her brother was not an angel, but they don’t believe shooting him was justified. She said they are demanding body camera footage and immediate answers.
